The new DDR5 generation of memory modules provides 50% faster transfer rates, while operating voltage is also reduced to 1.1V, as compared to 1.2V for DDR4. This helps to optimize overall system power management. Moreover, the DIMM power management IC (PMIC) on each module offers more stable power delivery and stronger signaling for improved energy efficiency.
