ASUS IoT introduces Industrial Motherboards and Edge AI Computing Systems for 13th Gen Intel® Core™ processors

ASUS IoT industrial motherboards and edge computers deliver excellent performance, with Intel® 13th Gen processors supporting new DDR5 memory for better edge AI computing capability and efficient energy management. High computing performance with 13th Gen Intel processors for multitasking

The 13th Gen Intel® Core™ processors for IoT Edge AI feature up to 24 cores and 32 threads. Their efficient multitasking supports multiple apps and workloads on a single platform while delivering up to 1.04x faster single-thread performance and up to 1.34x faster multithread performance, compared to previous-generation processors. Moreover, the new platform is a multichip package to deliver computing features and functionality in a single, small form factor board that can fit into nearly any IoT or edge device.

Fastest transfer speeds for power management with DDR5-compatible models

The new DDR5 generation of memory modules provides 50% faster transfer rates, while default operating voltage is also reduced to 1.1V, as compared to 1.2V for DDR4. This helps to optimize overall system power management. Moreover, the DIMM power management IC (PMIC) on each module offers more stable power delivery and stronger signaling for improved energy efficiency. Furthermore, built-in Error Correction Code (ECC) ensures data accuracy and system reliability, making ASUS IoT 13th Gen Intel® Core™ motherboards ideal for computing-intensive applications.

Doubled PCIe® 5.0 speeds for full backwards compatibility and expandability

ASUS IoT 13th Gen Intel® Core™ industrial motherboards and edge computers provide multiple peripheral support capabilities. For example, 13th Gen Intel® Core™ CPUs support up to 16 PCIe 5.0 lanes that offer double the speed of PCIe 4.0, and up to four PCIe 4.0 lanes. Such flexibility facilitates system configuration and system upgrades to full computing capability over the course of a device's operational lifetime. PCIe 5.0 support also ensures a higher-bandwidth connection to GPUs and SSDs for lower latency and optimal performance.

Vivid graphics with rich 8K60 visual display for AI acceleration

These ASUS IoT motherboards and edge computers feature integrated Intel UHD graphics. This supports up to 8K60 HDR video and up to four simultaneous 4K60 displays, ideal for retail video walls, digital signage, point of sale (POS) and kiosks. Also, accelerated AI and improved graphics can be used in healthcare to deliver enhanced imaging for ultrasounds, medical charts, endoscopy and more. And it can provide machine vision and AI in smart factories for defect inspection.
