TAIPEI, Taiwan, August 9, 2024 — ASUS IoT, the global AIoT solution provider, today announced the a slew of upgrades to the PE series for AI computing at the edge, now featuring the latest up to 14th Gen Intel® Core™ i9, 65-watt processors, and support for dual high-performance graphics cards of up to 450 W each. The refreshed lineup includes the updated PE8000G, PE6000G, PE4000G, PE5101D and PE5100D models, presenting industry with a comprehensive range of edge AI systems for diverse scenarios and applications.

The all-new 14th Gen Intel Core processors are most popular edge silicon, offering a wide range of performance and power options for machine vision and high-resolution graphics. The latest generation features a socketed SoC for maximum flexibility in build-to-order assembly to accelerate edge infrastructure deployment with low latency, high throughput, on-premise compute, data creation and consumption.


Accelerated edge AI with 14th Gen Intel Core processors

The 14th Gen Intel Core processors deliver enhanced performance with a hybrid architecture with up to 24 cores — eight Performance cores (P-cores) and 16 Efficiency cores (E-cores) — and up to 32 threads to handle demanding multitasking workloads, ideal for smart factory and machine automation, machine vision, transportation, smart city and edge AI applications. Compatible with Intel R680E chipset-based motherboards, 14th Gen Intel Core processors offers uncompromising computing and energy efficiency.

To further enhance performance, the new processors also support dual DDR5-5600 SO-DIMM memory modules up to 64 GB to boost transfer speeds by up to 50% faster transfer speeds, and improve power efficiency by up to 8%, paired with ECC technology for exceptional reliability.

The flagship PE8000G edge AI computer supports up to two high-performance PCIe® x16 450 W GPU cards, enabling redundancy, efficient high-throughput computing, seamless real-time AI inferencing and accelerated computing at the edge. In addition, the PE8000G, PE6000G, PE4000G, PE5101D and PE5100D  models all accept a wide 8-48 V DC-input range, and offer built-in ignition power control and monitoring, for flexible power options in diverse deployment scenarios.


Optimized for vision application and perception

ASUS IoT specializes in edge AI computer design and domain know-how applications based on customer computing capability demands. PE8000G supporting dual 450 W GPUs is optimized for deployments in rugged environments such as autonomous driving, roadside units (RSUs) and AI inferencing and training. PE6000G supports a single 450 W GPU is optimized for intelligent video analytics (IVA), high-throughput inference and middle/last-mile delivery. PE4000G supports a 200 W GPU and is suitable for factory automation, machine vision and law enforcement. Lastly, PE5101D and PE5100D are rugged edge computers that support dual 2.5-inch hot-swappable HDD trays and RAID 0/1 for easy expansion and maintains, and are primed to fulfill intelligent transportation solutions, along with retail kiosk, ATM and vending-machine applications.
